For vegans, they need to take supplements because they cannot consume animal food and the body cannot get the amoacids it needs. Soybeans and their products (tofu, tempeh) are sources of protein that can provide the body with all essential amino acids.
“Are amino acids vegan?” As for the question, proteins can be of animal or vegetable origin, due to amino acids. Therefore, we cannot say that all amino acids are vegan.
